This Privacy Policy explains how BENCHMARK ELECTRIC LLC ("we", "us", "our"), the owner and operator of GetHomeServices (gethomeservices.co), collects, uses and shares personal information when you use our website and services. California residents should also read our CCPA Privacy Notice.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and account details: first and last name, email address, mobile phone number (optional), ZIP code, state and password.
  • Job details: such as service type, scope, property type, timing, photos, city and ZIP code, notes and photos you upload.
  • Communications: messages with Pros through the Service and messages you send to our support team.
  • Consent records: whether you opted in to text messages, the consent wording shown, and the date, time, IP address and device information at opt-in.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, pages viewed, referring URL and timestamps.
  • Cookies and similar technologies used to keep you signed in, remember preferences and measure site performance.

2. How we use information

  • To create and manage your account and process your quote requests.
  • To share job details with Pros who serve your area so they can prepare quotes.
  • To send service updates and account notifications by email and, if you opted in, by text message.
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support.
  • To maintain the security of the Service, prevent fraud and enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To analyze and improve the Service, and to comply with legal obligations.

3. How we share information

  • With Pros: job details, photos, city and ZIP code are shared with up to four Pros who serve your area. Your name, email address and phone number are shared only with a Pro you choose to connect with.
  • With service providers: companies that host our website, send email and text messages, provide analytics or support our operations, under contracts that limit their use of your information to services for us.
  • For legal reasons: when required by law, subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property or safety of GetHomeServices, our users or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Privacy Policy.

4. Text messaging and mobile information

If you opt in to text messages, we use your mobile number to send recurring automated service updates and account notifications from GetHomeServices. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out or HELP for help.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. We share mobile numbers only with the SMS service providers that deliver our messages on our behalf.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies to operate the Service and analytics cookies to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent sign-in. Where required by law, we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

6. Data retention

We keep account and job information for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our agreements. SMS consent records are kept for at least five years after opt-out to document compliance.

7. Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

The Service is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@gethomeservices.co and we will delete it.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Update your account information at any time in your account settings.
  • Opt out of text messages by replying STOP; opt out of non-essential emails with the unsubscribe link.
  • Request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information by emailing privacy@gethomeservices.co or using our privacy request form.
  • Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon and other states with privacy laws may have additional rights, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you by email or through the Service.
